Traveling twice to Iraq and once to East Timor, The Department of Defence asked Bessie to be involved with organizing celebrity tours for the troops overseas.

She has hosted over 50 gala events & concerts for the troops in Baghdad & around the Middle East. She was also asked to give a keynote address at Saddam's Palace Iraq for Lt Col Metz, head of the coalition, the Iraqi liaison and top delegates from the 15 members of the coalition. Additionally, she led health & wellbeing workshops for female troops across the Middle East.
